I Was Featured on Pioneer Woman Photography!

I love Pioneer Woman.  Her website is fantastic and I read it everyday.  If you don't know her, here's a quick synopsis: she's an L.A. city girl who fell in love with an Oklahoma cowboy.  It changed her life forever.  And she wrote a book about it.  She writes about her life on the ranch on her website.  You should check her out if you don't know her.  She'll change your life in so many ways!

Her website is so much more than writing about her life.  She also writes about cooking, photography, home decor, her family, and lots more!

She has a ton of recipes on her site and they are to die for.  I recently tried her Steak and Peppers recipe and it was soooo good.  She's got a cook book...someone needs to buy it for me ;)

In her photography section, she has photo assignments where you can upload your pictures to her Flickr group, Pioneer Woman Photography Assignments, that pertains to her topic of choosing.  For a week, she will chose her favorite photos and feature them daily on her website.  This past week's photo assignment was pictures taken with your phone.  I decide that I would submit a few shots that I had taken since having an iphone.

If you haven't discovered Instagram yet, you should check it out.  It's a free app that allows you to edit your phone photos and it's amazing. I love it! I submitted this one of my sister, Casie.  I love how vintage it looks.  And her outfit totally looks vintage too!  Love those glasses and scarf, sister!

This windmill shot was my fave out of the ones I submitted.  I took it when I visited my baby sister  while she was in college in Oklahoma.  It must have been one of Pioneer Woman's faves too because she featured it in Group 3 on her website!  I just saw it today and I am so excited!  This was my first time submitting a picture for her photography assignments and my picture got chosen!  Out of the thousands and thousands of pictures that are uploaded for just one of her assignments, mine caught her eye and she decided that it was good enough to feature.  Woo Hoo! Check out my photo featured on her website here!
