A Love Inspired Mantel

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and this year, I've decided to do a little decorating to celebrate!  I'm not going all out like I do for Christmas, but I thought having a Valentine's Day themed mantel would be nice and I'm going to decorate our dining room shelf too (pics of that to come when I'm finished.)

DIY Tile Coasters

I've been seeing these tile coasters everywhere and they are so pretty!  We have a couple sets of decorative coasters and I love them both, but they don't really go with the decor of our living room.  So I thought I'd give these diy tile coasters a try and see if I could make some!

I deviated a bit from the directions of the common tile coaster.
  I'm such a rebel.

DIY Scrapbook Paper Wall Plaques

My sister, Em, is moving into a new apartment this semester and she doesn't have much of a budget to spend on home decor.  I told her "No, problem!  Let me make ya something!"  Big sister to the rescue! ;)

Fab Find Friday: Dollar Tree Baskets to Mail Organizers

Most days by looking at our house, you can't tell that I LOVE organization.  I need it feel happy.  When things start getting cluttered, I get grumpy.  We have a small rectangle basket that the mail is supposed to go in everyday.  It overflows with junk mail, so most of the time our mail ends up in a pile on the bar.  Hopefully these lovelies will solve the junk pile problem!  They were so easy to make!

The Land of the Free

Forth of July is just around the corner and I've been busy brainstorming on something pretty for my door.  I decided on making a simple wreath.  I was able to get most of the supplies super cheap-it only cost me about $5 to make!  Isn't it cute?!

Here's what you will need...

Love DIY Gifts? Check This Out!

I'm always in need of a quick, last minute gift.  Since I'm on this crafting kick, I'm enjoying making these frames as a special way to say "happy birthday!" "thank you" or whatever else I need to give to show my token of appreciation.  I made this frame and gave it to the student that I mentor at Calhoun Middle School.  It was just a little something I wanted to give her to say "Adios!  Have a great summer!"

I thought it turned out really cute! The flower is made out of tissue paper with ribbon glued underneath.

It's so easy to make these.  Here's how you do it:
